Mary Becker is currently an assistant director in the New Business department of Northwestern Mutual, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In her position she has responsibility and oversight for areas supporting the underwriting of new life insurance applications. She also provides technical guidance and direction for complex underwriting issues. Becker joined Northwestern Mutual in 1996 as a life underwriter. Prior to moving to her current position in 2006, she was a people manager in the Policyowner Services department. In 2001 Becker represented Northwestern Mutual as a Loaned Executive for the United Way of Greater Milwaukee.
Becker has experience as an adjunct faculty member at Ottawa University in Brookfield, Wisconsin where she taught adult students courses in human resource management and conflict resolution. Becker graduated from Waukesha South High School, Waukesha, Wisconsin. She received her B.S. with a major in psychology from the University of Wisconsin –LaCrosse. In 2003 she received her M.B.A. from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is a fellow of the Life Insurance Management Institute (FLMI).
Becker resides on the east side of Milwaukee with her husband, daughter (age 4), son (age 1) and yellow lab. Her hobbies include running, golf, skiing and competing in triathlons. |
