Kenyatta has spent the last 27 years in Milwaukee.  She is a product of the Milwaukee Public School system, graduating from Rufus King High School.  She continued her education at Marquette University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  After pursuing a career in a social work related field she returned to graduate school and earned a Master of Science degree in Human Service Administration with an emphasis on Organization Management and Leadership.  Given the number of years Kenyatta has resided in Milwaukee she is naturally committed to the advancement of the community.  Kenyatta views her participation in Future Milwaukee as the initial step to social change and advancement for the diverse group of people who call Milwaukee home.  When she is not working at Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin, Kenyatta is the mother of a beautiful 16-year-old daughter, Adrienne.  She is an active Alumni volunteer for the YMCA Black Achievers program and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
